A Bubbly Buzz on the Charity Scene

Grand Rapids is synonymous for giving back, and it’s no secret that local charities rely on the support of the community.  In these economic times however, an increasing trend of a tight budget is broadening for entertainment.  Imagine if you could indulge in a night on the town with friends, network with other local professionals, and give back to a local charity all for just $10! You heard right, just $10.

The Social Charity Club of Grand Rapids is doing just that.  They are a booming local organization that’s about to explode in the Grand Rapids social scene! The Social Charity Club of Grand Rapids is a network of socially conscious professionals in the Grand Rapids area who choose to give back, while enjoying the local restaurant and bar scene. The SCC is committed to providing an exciting and affordable avenue for people to help stimulate our Grand Rapids community while contributing to local charities. 

The SCC’s July event was hosted at Republic to benefit the Safe Haven Ministries of Grand Rapids.  Over $1 Thousand dollars were raised in just three hours for Safe Haven Ministries.  The venue was flooded with young professionals gathered to enjoy charity, signature cocktails, networking, and fantastic appetizers.  All of the proceeds directly benefited Safe Haven Ministries of Grand Rapids. 

Each month the Social Charity Club of Grand Rapids will support a local charity at a hot local venue.  Mark your calendars for the first Thursday of each month from 7pm-10pm, and join the latest buzz on the Grand Rapids Social Charity Scene.
